Huntington Gardens

This is a photo of one of the areas in The Huntington Garden located in San Marino, CA.  It is a wonderful day trip.  If you get a chance to go please do.  They have a lovely Tea Room for an English Tea. They have such a variety of finger sandwiches and desserts to satisfy any taste. There is also a remarkable museum located there that house Pinkie and Blue Boy.  Remember studying those in school? Well, this is their home. They also have most beautiful roses.  It is just a feast for the eyes.  They have a Japanese area, a Chinese area, a section on desert plants, and a herb garden located near the tea room.  It is quiet an outing.  In fact I do not believe you can take it all in in one day.  We mapped out our favorite garden sections, and then we had high tea.  Afterwards the weather was heating up so we went inside to tour a part of the museum.  We did not get to see it all, but we agreed to save some for another day.  I highly recommend you go, and  if you can make it around Mother’s Day you won’t regret it.  The roses are at their best.  Oh, and bring your camera, walking shoes, and a hat, because the sun can get pretty intense.  Huntington Gardens

I am definitely an “art” person and had no idea that “Blue Boy” and “Pinkie” lived there. I am constantly amazed at what I learn from other bloggers!! The gardens look glorious and well-worth a trip!

If you ever get a chance do visit. I actually went for the roses, and the tea, but it is so much more. They have a Japanese garden, a Chinese garden, herbs, and much more, but what I was really surprised about was the extensive art museum. I was really fun to see Pinkie and Blue Boy.
