Well, we did make it to The Getty Center in Los Angeles and boy what a trip. All of these gems and we never seem to take advantage of them. It is quiet breathtaking. As the site states it has dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens and breathtaking view. The garden was quiet beautiful. The architecture is so massive it makes you feel very small, but in a good way. The museum is packed full or art of all type, but the painting that I was most impressed with was the Irises, by Vincent van Gogh, . We studied this in school, but I never thought I would actually get to see it up close and personal. The Getty Center
If you get a chance to go be sure to take a tour with the docents. They are very knowledgeable and worth it. They just last for a short time and then you are free to explore on your own. Fun and memorable.
Thanks H. for another fun day.
